React Developer - Mid-Level (Contractor)

About the Role

We are looking for a Mid-Level React Developer (Contractor) to help us build and maintain modern, high-quality web applications. You’ll work directly with our product and engineering teams, creating reusable components, integrating APIs, and ensuring our applications are fast, scalable, and accessible. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in React who enjoys solving problems, writing clean code, and contributing independently in a remote-first environment.

What you’ll do at Vitamin

• Build and maintain responsive web applications with React.js.
• Implement reusable, modular, and maintainable components.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and data services.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and accessibility.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards.
• Stay current with frontend best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on React.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and familiarity with TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches (CSS Modules, Styled Components, TailwindCSS).
• Experience with state management tools (Redux, Zustand, or Context API).
• Familiarity with REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus).
• Experience with Git-based workflows.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Selenium, Katalon).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a distributed team.
• Good English skills, at least B2 level (spoken and written).

Bonus (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience with Next.js or other React frameworks.
• Understanding of accessibility and SEO best practices.

Contract Details

• Type: Independent contractor
