💫What we are looking for?

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with deep experience in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. You’ve built and scaled production apps, know when to reach for a library (and when not to), and can design UI systems that are both elegant and maintainable.

You’ll bring a blend of technical expertise, product intuition, and leadership. You care not just about getting features shipped — but building scalable interfaces, mentoring other devs, and helping shape our frontend direction.

You’ll work cross-functionally with design, backend, and ops — leading conversations, setting standards, and turning user and business needs into performant, intuitive web experiences.

The ideal candidate:

Technical Leadership

  • – Deep expertise in React, JS/TS, and frontend architecture
  • – Proven ability to scale UI systems and drive architectural decisions
  • – Experience mentoring developers and reviewing code with empathy

Product Thinking & Delivery

  • – Strong product sense and user empathy
  • – Can translate rough ideas into elegant, performant UIs
  • – Thrives in ambiguity and helps bring structure to projects
  • – Comfortable taking over existing code and working solo or as part of a small team

😎What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Senior React Developer, you’ll take a leading role in designing, building, and maintaining web applications that drive critical business operations and directly impact patient care.

You’ll:

  • – Architect, build, and maintain scalable React apps used across internal teams and patient-facing tools
  • – Lead technical decisions for frontend systems — from component structure to performance strategies
  • – Review and improve code quality across the team through pull requests and mentoring
  • – Own large initiatives: building new tools from the ground up or reworking existing ones for scale and speed
  • – Lead the evolution of our internal component libraries and ensure consistency across projects.
  • – Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to scope, plan, and deliver features with care and speed
  • – Make data-driven decisions about tooling, tech debt, and feature rollout strategies
  • – Elevate team practices — from testing and CI to performance monitoring and accessibility standards

🚀To thrive in this role you’ll need to:

  • – 5+ years of professional experience with modern frontend development, including React and TypeScript
  • – Expertise in building robust, modular, and well-tested components and UI systems
  • – Strong understanding of state management, performance optimization, and component lifecycle
  • – Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working alongside backend teams to shape interfaces
  • – Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive design, and cross-browser quirks
  • – A strong architectural mindset — able to weigh trade-offs, think in systems, and make things easy to extend
  • – Comfortable leading initiatives and mentoring engineers at various levels
  • – Product intuition — you understand user needs, value iteration, and can balance polish with pragmatism
  • – Ability to scope, prioritise, and execute work independently while collaborating deeply across teams

Bonus Points (Not Required)

  • – Experience setting up or contributing to design systems (e.g., Storybook, Tailwind UI, internal libraries)
  • – Familiarity with performance profiling tools and frontend observability (e.g. Lighthouse, Sentry)
  • – Testing expertise (unit, integration, E2E) with tools like React Testing Library, Playwright or Cypress
  • – Experience building tools for operational teams, clinicians, or workflow-heavy environments
  • – Prior work in a healthtech, SaaS, or regulated industry
  • – Comfort working across the stack when needed (Node.js, REST APIs, etc.)

🙏🏻What You Can Expect from Us

  • – Competitive salary
  • – Work remotely from anywhere (within UK office hours)
  • – 30 days holiday (includes UK public holidays)
  • – Team get-togethers
  • – A paid day off on your birthday
  • – Office equipment when you join
  • – Pension contribution
  • – Be part of one of the UK’s most ambitious HealthTech start-ups

🩵Apply with Confidence
